DL219 Koi fish is for our Oriental Card makers. This was a tough one to design but it looks good for any Asian theme A backdrop frame would also add character to this presentation.

I watched the video and I was able to cut the die with a shadow. I accomplished this by cutting 3-4 layers of different color of cardstock together. On the papers that I wanted to keep it as a shadow, I used scotch tape to keep the various small pieces from falling out.

It is hard to find a perfect koi. This fish is beautiful. I used an oriental paper with a wash or watercolor finish in a soft orange and white not knowing how the fish would look. It was magnificent. His head and tail were orange and the middle was a beautiful peachy white. Looked like the real thing!! Punched out beautifully.

This is an elegant and beautiful die. I was so pleased to finally find a Koi. It cuts and embosses so delicately.
